Atlus has announced that Catherine will be coming to North America in summer 2011. Amazon is listing the release date as July 26. Whether or not Amazon knows something that the rest of us don't is yet to be seen.

An official trailer for Dead Island was recently released. As a trailer, it is evocative and chilling. As a representation of the game itself it says absolutely nothing at the moment. This is a brilliant piece of marketing, but all that is known about Dead Island is that it takes place on a resort island filled with zombies. The trailer showcases the horror of a zombie attack in cutscene form and does its job of leaving the viewer wanting more.

Telltale announced that they are working on several new projects. The most interesting of these is The Walking Dead game.
It comes as no surprise, given the sucess of the television adaptation. Zombies may be an overused cliche at this point, but The Walking Dead is of such high quality that a game adaptation is an interesting idea.

Theme parks have always been something that are intrinsically fascinating. Anyone can build an ammusement park and fill it with various rides and games. Only a select few have the creative vision to tie everything together via thematic elements to add that extra draw.

Nintendo appears to take great pleasure in keeping their release dates obscure. At E3 2010, they claimed The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword would see an early 2011 release. It's early 2011 and with no release in sight Nintendo has decided to provide a new window. Skyward Sword will release in 2011 some time after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
In a similar situation, Nintendo had insinuated that Ocarina 3D would launch with the 3DS. Now they say that instead of releasing on March 27th, or even sometime between that and the new window, it will release after E3 2011. Of course with the information available, all that can be concluded is that Ocarina 3D will release after June 9th and Skyward Sword's release will follow.
This push is a good business move. The 3DS is launching next month and so is Pokemon Black and White. Nintendo is not short of guaranteed revenue streams for the first two quarters of 2011. After an amazing Fall line-up in 2010, a desire to repeat that in 2011 is completely understood. What we, as gamers, don't want is for publishers to continue to give these, while relative still measurable, windows to release their titles in, then change them. Pushes happen, but there is no need to give a window only to move it back six months, six months later. Pushing dates, while still frustrating, is more forgivable. There is still a set time. If a company is going to be vague with their window, why not just expand it?
